Florida State will be trying to protect its No. 1 ranking without its top quarterback at home against 22nd-ranked Clemson.

Heisman Trophy winner Jameis (JAY'-mihs) Winston has been suspended for the game for making vulgar and offensive comments about female anatomy on campus this week. At first, Winston was only going to sit out the first half against the Tigers, but late last night the school extended the suspension to the entire game.

Red-shirt sophomore Sean Maguire will start for the Seminoles in the showdown of ACC rivals. The Tigers will showcase their hurry-up offense behind quarterback Cole Stoudt who's thrown for 446 yards and has a 63.3 completion percentage.

Offenses are expected to be showcased when No. 2 Oregon visits Washington State. The 3-0 Ducks high-powered offense is run by Heisman Trophy hopeful Marcus Mariota (mehr-ee-OH'-tah) and features a rushing attack that is averaging 243 yards a game. The 1-2 Cougars boast the nation's top passing offense that ran up 630 yards in the air against Portland State last week.

No. 3 Alabama hosts Florida in an SEC battle of prolific offenses. Neither team has been held under 500 yards offense this season. Alabama has gained 1,705 yards in winning its first three games. The Gators are averaging 50.5 points in getting off to a 2-0 start.

Fourth-ranked Oklahoma takes its seven-game winning streak on the road to West Virginia. The 3-0 Sooners will be facing a Mountaineers team that is averaging 91 plays and 564 yards in offense.

There are 13 games involving 14 ranked teams on the schedule.
