Community Hospital officially locked up their old hospital doors today, March 17. At 6:01 a.m., they opened their doors at 2351 G Road, after 51 years of operation at the previous location on North 12th Street.

The 140,000 square feet new building comes with a morgue, a baby and delivery unit that Community Hospital didn't have before, an expanded emergency room to eliminate wait, spacious rooms, surgical rooms with advanced technology, beautiful views of the National Monument, and so much more.

The old Community Hospital location now belongs to Colorado Mesa University, who will be using the building for their Nursing Program.
