Despite being hobbled by a sprained foot, Colorado Mesa's Ryan Stephan was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.The Mavericks upset the 2nd ranked Mountain Lions 100-72 Saturday night  behind Stephan's career night.

Stephan poured in 40 points on 12-16 shooting, including 5 for 5 from three point range, and 11-14 from the free throw line.The 6' 10" junior from Green Mountain High School in Lakewood also pulled down a career high 15 rebounds, while contributing 2 assists and one steal.

It's the second time this season Stephan has received player of the week honors. Stephan currently leads the RMAC in scoring, averaging 27.3 points per game and is second in the conference in rebounding, pulling down 9.4 boards per game.

The Mavericks are off to  a 12-4 start to the season, 7-3 in conference play. CMU will host the Western State Colorado Mountaineers Saturday night (January 17) at Brownson Arena.
