A Colorado man was killed while skiing at Breckenridge on Tuesday (March 2).

Breckenridge Ski Resort Ski Patrol quickly responded and provided life saving measures after receiving a report of an injured skier. The man was transported to St. Anthony Community Clinic Emergency Center where he was pronounced dead.

According to the Denver Post, Summit County County Coroner, Regan Wood, said the victim, identified as Christopher Dutko, died of blunt force trauma after running into another skier, losing control and crashing into a tree.

The coroner said Dutko was not wearing a helmet and has ruled the death an accident.
