The San Diego Chargers say safety Jahleel Addae has been diagnosed with a concussion.

Addae was injured in Thursday night's 35-21 loss at Denver. He immediately fell to the ground after a hit on the first play of the game. Late in the third quarter, he convulsed while remaining on his feet after a hit. He led with his left shoulder both times.

Addae said after the game that he passed the NFL's concussion test. He was not in the locker room when it was open to the media Friday afternoon. Chargers spokesman Bill Johnston says Addae was not available to the media because he went to get additional tests.

The team then announced later Friday that he had a concussion.
