October is finally here, and we’re at that time where the evenings finally feel like football season.

The Associated Press has released this week’s Colorado high school football poll for the week of September 29, with the most noticeable changes coming in Class 4A.

Tuesday marked a big day for Central High School’s softball team. In addition to an 8-1 win over Fruita Monument, the Warriors also clinched the league title and has a shot at hosting one of eight regional tournaments.

High school football in Western Colorado is reaching the halfway point of the 2014 season, which means every game is crucial to making the playoffs.
