Former Grand Junction High School star Bill Musgrave was promoted to Offensive Coordinator for the Denver Broncos this morning after previous O.C. Mike McCoy was fired in the wake of the Broncos seven game losing streak.

Musgrave, who had been serving as the team's quarterback coach, was the Offensive Coordinator the previous two seasons with the Oakland Raiders and will now be tasked with transforming an offense that ranks 18th in passing and 15th in rushing.

Musgrave, a graduate of Grand Junction High School, was an all conference safety as a sophomore and a two time all conference quarterback, as well as Colorado Athlete of the year in 1985 after throwing 30 touchdown passes, as well as the Denver Post Gold Helmet winner as the top student athlete in the state.

His first game will come against his former team and the Broncos hated rival, the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. The team promoted Klint Kubiak, son of former head coach Gary Kubiak as the team's new quarterback's coach.
