Someone in Boulder Wishes a Dead Raccoon to Get Well
Seeing a dead animal on the side of the road isn't a rare thing in Colorado. Seeing a dead animal in the middle of the road with a "Get Well Soon" balloon tied it is a different story.
You're a raccoon who just finished raiding the neighborhood trash can and you're on your way back to your raccoon friends. You look both ways before you cross the street, and just as you're about to make it across the road, a speeding car takes your life. Such a tragic story for wild animals worldwide.
As you lay there lifeless in the road, a passerby of the human kind stops and pays his respects with a balloon that reads, "Get Well Soon." They know you won't really get well anytime soon, but it's the thought that counts, right?!
Some people may think this is disrespectful since someone didn't take the time to scoop the dead animal up and lay him to a proper rest. While others, like me, find this a bit humorous -- it's the little things in life.
