A fire that occurred on September 2 was found to have been caused by arson, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.

The fire, at 2458 Industrial Boulevard in Grand Junction was apparently set by two former employees, 42-year-old Christopher Booker and 25-year-old Eric Booker of Grand Junction who were arrested and charged with arson, burglary, and theft, as was a third person, 21-year-old Britney Bowker.

During an investigation into the crime, it became known that a credit card and a company vehicle were missing. Further investigation found the credit card to have been used both before and after the fire. Video surveillance of the businesses where the card was used was instrumental in identifying the two men.

Acting on information as to the whereabouts of these individuals, Grand Junction Police and Mesa County Sheriffs found the three together in a residence in the 3200 block of D 1/2 Road, where they were able to make arrests of all three individuals.

The Grand Junction Police Department states the investigation is ongoing and may lead to more charges being filed.
