The Associated Press has released this week’s Colorado high school football poll for the week of September 22, with very minor (if any) changes in each class.

In Class 5A, the top four teams remain the same with Valor Christian on top, followed by Pomona, Grandview and Fairview. Ralston Valley rose in the poll to No. 5.

In Class 4A, Montrose remains at No. 3, just behind Pine Creek (No. 1) and Pueblo South (No. 2). Rounding out the top five in Class 4A are Vista Ridge and Fort Collins.

In Class 3A, Delta remains at No. 2, while Rifle dropped to No. 4 this week. Glenwood Springs received votes this week, but did not make it into the top 10. Rounding out the top five in Class 3A are Lutheran (No. 1), Discovery Canyon (No. 3) and Evergreen (No. 5).

In Class 2A, Olathe rose in the polls to No. 9. Gunnison and Cortez each received votes this week, but neither team made it into the top 10. Brush, Kent Denver and Strasburg are the top 3 teams in Class 2A, while Florence (who was tied with Kent Denver last week at No. 2) dropped to No. 4 this week.

In Class 1A, Paonia remains the No. 1 team, Cedaredge rose to No. 4 and Meeker rose to No. 7.

Class 8-Man saw no changes this week in the top five, which are Dayspring Christian, Norwood, Caliche, Springfield and Merino.

And in Class 6-Man, the top four teams remain the same (Eads, Arickaree Woodlin, Fleming and Peetz), while Walsh broke into the ranks at No. 5.
